Showcasing the pinnacle of kitchen designs, the inaugural edition of the Siemens Kitchen Design Awards in association with AD India seeks to recognise the best of the best; ‘where creativity sparks innovation’

The kitchen, once a purely utilitarian space, has blossomed into the vibrant heart of the modern home, a place where creativity and connection intertwine. In celebration of this evolution, Siemens, in collaboration with AD India, proudly unveils the Siemens Kitchen Design Awards. This bold new platform is dedicated to celebrating the alchemy of aesthetics, functionality, and pioneering design.

The first edition of these awards seeks to ignite a community of visionary professionals committed to crafting culinary spaces that are not only beautiful and functional but also sustainable.

At the heart of this initiative lies the theme: ‘where creativity sparks innovation.’ The awards invite pioneers from architecture, interiors, design, and independent studios to showcase intelligent designs that seamlessly bridge the realms of imagination and ingenuity. This is an invitation to demonstrate how a spark of creativity can ignite a revolution in kitchen design, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Here’s how you can be a part of this exclusive community and get a chance to be featured in AD India.

Award categories

There are six categories you can apply for:

The Best Residential Kitchen Design

The Best Residential Kitchen Design seeks to award kitchens that excel in aesthetics, functionality, and creativity within a residential setting. It focuses on the marriage of creativity and design philosophy, highlighting a singular, stand-out feature of the residential kitchen design.

The Best Sustainable Kitchen Design

The Best Sustainable Kitchen Design award celebrates designs that blend sustainability with aesthetic appeal. Entries will be judged on the use of eco-friendly materials and practices implemented and the stand-out sustainable practices that define the kitchen’s design.

The Excellence in Creative Kitchen Design

The Excellence in Creative Kitchen Design award is for kitchens that demonstrate a unique blend of innovation, aesthetics, and functionality. Entries will be evaluated on the creative process behind the project and how the designer balances creativity with practical functionality.

The Best Compact Kitchen Design

The Best Compact Kitchen Design award celebrates kitchens that prove size is no barrier to exceptional design. It focuses on maximising functionality and style within a small space. Entries will be assessed on how the design ensures functionality despite limited space, the top solutions used for compact kitchen design, and how functionality is combined with utilitarianism.

The Best Use of Materials, Finishes and Colour in Kitchen Design Space

The Best Use of Materials, Finishes and Colour in Kitchen Design Space award recognises designs that enhance aesthetics and durability through innovative material choices. Judges will consider the most innovative materials used, the designer’s understanding of colour theory, and the incorporation of underrated materials or finishes.

The Smart Kitchen Integration

The Smart Kitchen Integration award celebrates the fusion of cutting-edge technology with thoughtful design. The category is for kitchens that effectively utilise smart technology and energy-efficient solutions. Entries will be evaluated on the designer’s smart appliance choices, the must-have smart kitchen appliance used, and how technology and design are seamlessly integrated.

Evaluation process

An expert panel of five jury members, each with a multidisciplinary approach to design, will evaluate the entries. The designs that are most in line with the theme of ‘Where creativity sparks innovation’ will stand a chance of winning. The top six winning entries will be felicitated at an award ceremony and featured in AD India.
